AVX-TPC

At the factory in Dijon, France, TPC started to produce DC filter capacitors with the short-circuit-proof segmentation technology. Since this time the so called "controlled self-healing" behavior, which offers a real improvement in the field of safety of capacitors, has been developed progressively and represents now a core competence of AVX-TPC. The collected field experience allows TPC to offer a gradually significant weight and volume reduction in the DC capacitors section.

AVX-TPC builds DC capacitors from 1400V with variable oil impregnation. For voltages <1400V or in the AC range there is used a "dry" impregnation with segmented foil. The application-focus is on railway technology, renewable energies, pulse applications and special research projects. On customers demand AVX-TPC is able to offer interface-compatible capacitor solutions to avoid obsolence when the original products will be discontinued by competitors. For AEC-Q200 applications in the automotive sector there is a second production facility in Uherske, Czech Republic. Both plants, Dijon and Uherske are IRIS-ISO / TS22163: 2017 certified.

ATE

ATE electronics produce wire-shaped- and thickfilm resistors near Turin, Italy. The industrially oriented mass-production is focused on mostly standardized heatsink resistors with reference to MIL- standards, axially wired resistors in the power range of 3 ... 15 watts and particularly low induction thickfilm or metal foil resistors up to 800 watts for mounting on heat-sinks. The inhouse R&D department and a close customer relationship ensures a flexible support for special applications. Market-orientated prices and good availability are ATE key strategy. ATE electronics is part of the Swedish NIBE Group since 2016.

EXXELIA - SicSafco

The production of the first SIC SAFCO capacitors took place in 1921 near Paris. EXXELIA, the new mother company, is now producing the aluminum electrolytics in Saint Nazaire at the French Atlantic coast. The company has always been the most important manufacturer of aluminium electrolytics in France and has a high innovation level. Already in 1975 there were aluminum electrolytics for temperatures up to + 125 ° C (mainly for military use) with extended long and defined life expectancy and low FIT rates available. Customized solutions can be developed, beside the wide catalog range.

HYDRA

Company Hydra, which emerged from the AEG group, manufactures capacitors for fluorescent lamps and motorrun application as well as capacitors for power factor correction. The components are EN-compliant and have VDE approval (with UL if required). Special versions can also be manufactured in line with market prices.

ICAR

Icar was founded already before 1950 in Monza near Milan. At the beginning paper and plastic-film capacitors were built for high voltage and heavy current application - mainly for Italian power-grid companies. Today there is a focus on special capacitors for power electronics. Following the market-demand, DC and AC filter capacitors with high energy density with screw terminal connections are offered. The Icar catalogue program is adapted to the global market requirements concerning dimensions and electrical parameters. The cost will match with the industrial demand. While the main program is “dry-impregnated”, Icar is still able to offer oil-impregnated bimetallized-paper capacitors.

ICEL

The wide range of ICEL film capacitors can follow the individual developer requirements in DC-, pulse- and AC- applications. The family-owned company is located near Milan and produce a very wide range of products with polypropylene- and polyester-film dielectric, including also axial-wired capacitors.Surge capacitors are particularly impulse-resistant thanks to "bipiste" technology and are also available with lugs for direct IGBT mounting. This technique is also used successfully for high-current resonant circuits. Some Icel Series has been developed to operate in harsh environment conditions. The machine park allows producing small and large series to be delivered on time.

ITELCOND

Itelcond aluminium electrolytics come from Bareggio, near Milan in Italy. The company is ISO 9001 certifiied since 1992. The main product range are screw terminal capacitors, especially for high voltage applications up to 450Vdc. All Itelcond capacitors are RoHS compliant.

MERSEN

The advantage of Bus-Bar-Sheetings is a reproducible, low-inductive and contact-safe connection between power electronic components. They are designed by the user and optimized by MERSEN, using suitable insulating materials. All agreed test processes are already completed in the factory. Computer-controlled machining centers guarantee dimensional accuracy and burr-freeness of the aluminum or copper plates. MERSEN's European factory is located in Angers, France.

SIR

Braking resistors from SIR are individually designed - based on a large range of experience. Most of the components, mainly also mechanics are manufactured in their own workshop. The plant near Milan also manufactures liquid-cooled resistors. SIR now belongs to the Widap Group but acts independently in the market.

VISHAY-BC COMPONENTS

The BC Components branded aluminium-electrolytics date back to the former Philips factory in Zwolle / Netherlands. Today the brand name belongs to the Vishay Group. Designed primarily for professional applications, these capacitors have very low leakage currents and are therefore suitable for high-voltage series-parallel assemblies. Available are series for PCB mounting (Snap In) and with screw terminals for higher currents and power-banks. Lifetime as a function of temperature and current load is defined for each model.
